This Friday ! I’m on History Chanel’s Gangland episode entitled “Mile High Killers”. It features Denver Colorado’s North Side Mafia. I’m only an extra (A start with bigger and better things to come, god willing) but i had a blast on set ! The scene that I’m in was shot in an abandoned building in the projects of Summit,IL.
I know it sounds crazy but it was a lot more funny than scary ! lol. We had police escorts take us to and from the set (for obvious reasons …We’re in the projects!) Of course the other actors and myself were dressed to play our role as gang members.
Hoodies,doo rags,bandannas,Ski Mask (That’s me! in the episode lol) etc. So, of course “REAL” gang members were all around the set. Everyone wanted to know what was going. We had an entire film crew there along with Summit police and a real SWAT team for the scene along with about ten actors. Eventually, the “REAL” gang members started flashing signs at us and yelling profanities ! lol . One of the police officers snatched one of them by the neck, slammed him onto the hood of a squad car and yelled at him “They are actors! you idiot!”
Wow. that was classic. lol.
So please, if you have some time check it out. And if you don’t have time but have a DVR, DVR it !
