Cesar ‘V!sual’ Zamudio has been active in social and political change since his teenage years when he participated in protests and in school organizations that focused on diversity and equality. Also during his teens years is when he began to organize events and meetings with other young Chicago artists and activists to discuss community involvement and solutions for the social and political issues they faced.
In the early 2000's he spent a portion of his time volunteering with youth at several Chicago organizations, most notably Batey Urbano in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.
He now works with various organizations that focus on youth development, teaching about Hip Hop culture and its roots in activism, marketing and branding, entrepreneurship and mindfulness, and speaking at seminars at various educational institutions.
Cesar ‘V!sual’ Zamudio started his rap career in Chicago in the mid '90s, by becoming active in the local scene frequently involved in cyphers, open mics & winning notable underground battles. In 2002, he started his own Indie label; Community Service Records when he began to release music independently
During the span of his music career, V!sual has shared the stage with Lupe Fiasco, The Pharcyde, Rhyme Fest, Atmosphere, GLC, DJ A-Trak, Swollen Members, Brother Ali, R.A. the Rugged, Lil Debbie, Young Chop, Kap G + more
V!sual has been featured on Fuse TV, Urb Magazine, HipHopgame.com, Hip-hop-kings.com, Fakeshoredrive.com, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times + more. He has also independently set up his own tours through the Midwest, West Coast, East Coast & South France
Cesar ‘V!sual’ Zamudio works with youth to help them develop unique skills such as developing their own personal mindset, the importance of collaboration and communication, and also social skills that teach consciousness and tolerance. The tangible skills that he teaches are creative writing, vocal recording, song production, Hip Hop history, event production, and branding and marketing
He also consults artists, producers, and record labels and management teams to help develop their brand and business by guiding them through processes and teaching them industry standards.
Most recently he has begun to consult and coach entrepreneurs and everyday people looking for a better quality of life in various areas of personal development including accountability, mindfulness, weight loss, fitness, and more
As an entrepreneur, Cesar ‘V!sual’ Zamudio has founded Community Service Records which he has used as a platform to release his music independently since 2002.
in 2011, he founded #HelloHipHop which started as a monthly event showcasing Chicago talent and has now become a curator of Hip Hop culture and business in Chicago and is steadily growing nationally.
In 2017 he created Money Mantra, a podcast focused on financial literacy and mental health where he has interviewed a diverse group of people ranging from business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, and others to help listeners gain a unique perspective and valuable information in hopes of it making a positive impact on their life.
In the middle of the pandemic, Phraze Me was found along with his wife and 2 sets of twins. Phraze Me is a family-owned digital t-shirt, apparel, and home goods brand that creates designs truly inspired by everything that the family is inspired by, from art and movies to education, philosophy, and comedy.
In 2021, V!sual continued to work in the fields of financial literacy & mental health with a focus on Cryptocurrency, NFT art, and Web3 education as he co-founded the ISeeWeb3 brand and hosted a podcast & Twitter Spaces building with artists, developers, and other people in the Web3 space as well as hosting and producing in-person onboarding and educational Web3 events.
